A plaque in the sports arena on Portage Avenue in Winnipeg commemorates a meeting on 12 July 1905 of the first local meeting of the directors of the T. Eaton Company. Presided over by the President, Timothy Eaton (1834-1907), it was held 30 feet west of the original site of this plaque. It is not known if the plaque is at the same location as when it was originally displayed in the Eatons department store.
