Memorable Manitobans: Jean Stuart Williamson (c1920-2015)

Educator.

Born in Montreal, Quebec around 1920, she came to Winnipeg in the early 1940s to attend the Western Bible College, after which she ministered at a Pentecostal church in rural Manitoba. She returned to Winnipeg to attend United College, graduating in 1954, then taught school. She was the Principal of Stony Mountain School (1958-1959) before moving to Emerson where she taught French and was the High School Principal of Emerson School (1961-1963, 1965-1966). After retirement, she moved to Winnipeg and was an active member of Calvary Temple. She died unmarried at Winnipeg on 31 July 2015 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery.
