Memorable Manitobans: Annie Cameron (1879-1963)
Born in the Rural Municipality of Assiniboia in January 1879, daughter of Annie Cameron (1846-1909) and Donald Cameron, she grew up at the family farmstead at Headingley. She taught at Keyes School (1905-1906), East Prospect School (?-?), Headingley School (1918-1919), and Little Mountain School (1919-1921), and was Principal of St. Charles School (1921-1924). She later lived at Selkirk where she died on 16 May 1963 and was buried in the Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery in Headingley.
