Educator.
Born at Montreal, Quebec on 27 March 1943, son of Hartley Turville Millman (1907-1984) and Roberta May Vance (1913-1960), the family moved to St. Vital during his childhood and later to River Heights. He graduated from Kelvin High School in 1963.
After a year at the Manitoba Teachers’ College, he began teaching at Lavallee School (1964-1968) and later received BA (1965) and BEd (1975) degrees from the University of Manitoba. He was the Vice-Principal of Windsor School (1970-1972) and Principal of Lavallee School (1972-1973), Darwin School (1973-1987), and Samuel Burland School (1987-1998). Ill health forced his retirement in 1998. He spent 30 years living in the RM of Ritchot.
He and first wife Jane had two children before divorcing in 1974. He had a son with second wife Susan. His later partner of 37 years was Linda Chernenkoff.
His final months were spent at the Deer Lodge Rehabilitation Centre and he died on 10 October 2025.
