Accountant.
Born at Hepworth, Ontario in 1897, he came to Manitoba and lived for a time at Waskada. He later moved to Winnipeg where he worked for 43 as an accountant for the Department of Education. He was also Secretary-Treasurer for the Teachers’ Retirement Allowances Fund (1925-1963).
On 14 June 1924, he married Celenna Barbara Millard (1896-1988) at Winnipeg and they subsequently had a son, James Garnett Millard (1931-2024). They lived as 1205 Grant Avenue. He was a founding member of Be thesda Church and was on its Board of Elders for 30 years. He was also on the Board of the Canadian Sunday School Mission for 47 years.
He died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 26 October 1978 and was buried in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
