Memorable Manitobans: Victor Harvey Hugo (1888-1972)Educator. Born at Guelph, Ontario on 28 August 1888, he taught school in Manitoba for 50 years, including service as Principal of Rossburn School (1912-1915, 1928-1932), Arden School (1915-1917), Angus School (1925-1928), Kenton School (1934-1935), West Treherne School (1935-1942), Roland School (1943-1956), and Elphinstone School (1956-1959). On 22 December 1915, he married Lila McFeetors (?-1966) at Rossburn. They had no children. He died at Winnipeg on 27 September 1972 and was buried in the Garry Memorial Park.
