Educator.
Born in Manitoba on 20 June 1883, daughter of Francis “Fanny” Routley (1854-1942) and John Gardner (1854-1922), she grew up on the family farm near Lenore in Township 11 Range 24W. She took teacher training and became an eductor. She taught at Shell River School (1910), Victor School (1911), Bradwardine School (1911-1915), Elkhorn School (1919-1920), Cameron School (?-?), and Woodlands School (?-?), and was Principal of Elva School (1921-1924), Grosse Isle School (1927-1928), and Lauder School (1928-1929). She died at Hamiota on 3 June 1936 and was buried in the Breadalbane Cemetery.
