Educator.
Born at Selkirk on 4 November 1944, son of John Cheslock (1905-1952) and Anne Furgala (c1920-2016), he grew up on a farm in the Cloverdale district. His teaching career included service at Ninette School (1966-1968), Minnedosa School (c1970), Amaranth School (c1971-1974), and Assiniboine School and Oak Lake Community School in Oak Lake (1974-1999). On 27 July 1968, he married schoolteacher Lynne Marie Ferguson (1945-2013) and they had a daughter. He served briefly as the Mayor of Oak Lake (1977-1978). He returned to Cloverdale in 2008, where he had a hobby farm, then moved to a lakeside cottage near Lac du Bonnet in 2020. He died on 31 October 2023.
