Memorable Manitobans: Norah Winnifred Maude Thompson (1899-1992)Educator, administrator. Born at Boissevain on 22 February 1899, one of five children of Ethel Eleanor Sankey (1867-?) and Frank Thompson (1865-?), she was educated at Boissevain School and the Brandon Normal School. She taught in St. James for many years, finally as Vice-Principal of Assiniboine School (1954-1956) and Strathmillan School (1956-1959). She was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church.
