Memorable Manitobans: Bentley Taylor (1877-1960)Born in Ontario in November 1877, he came to Winnipeg from Mille Illes, Quebec about 1910 and worked in construction of homes, apartment blocks, and other structures as proprietor of the Taylor Construction Company. On 24 December 1907, he married Elizabeth Scott (1881-1954) at Winnipeg. They lived at 369 Home Street and had no children. He died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 18 July 1960 and was buried beside his wife in the Brookside Cemetery. Some of his construction works in Manitoba included:
