Memorable Manitobans: Ronald Victor Shearer (1907-2000)

Educator.

Born at Swink, Colorado in 1907, he came to Manitoba and taught at Broadlands School (1925), Greenwich School (1926-1927), and Little Mountain School (1927-1929) then was the Principal of Warren School (1929-1931), Tuxedo School (1931-1937), Queen Elizabeth School (1951-1952), Norwood School (1952-1957), and Nelson McIntyre Collegiate (1957-1966). He died at his home in Lower Sackville, New Brunswick on 18 September 2000. He was buried at Winnipeg.
