Memorable Manitobans: Edith Winnifred Morrison Robertson (1909-1997)

Educator.

Born at Napinka on 26 July 1909, daughter of Annie Laurie Little (1876-1957) and James Boyd Morrison, she attended Normal School, became a teacher, and was Principal of Rugby School / Rugby High School (1931-1933). On 27 June 1936, she married Kenneth Bradburn Robertson (1908-1970) at Brandon, where they lived for a while. They later moved to Ontario, where she died on 19 June 1997 and was buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto.
