Grain broker.
Born at Wavertree, Lancashire, England on 17 February 1888, son of William Morrison, he was educated at the Rossal School. In 1911, he came to Winnipeg and worked as a grain broker. A militia member of the 90th Winnipeg Rifles, in 1916 he enlisted with the Canadian Expeditionary Force and went overseas with the rank of Lieutenant. He was wounded twice and received the Military Cross.
Returning from military duty in 1919, he formed the grain brokerage firm of Morrison and Kelly in partnership with Ewart Cameron Kelly. The company was dissolved in June 1929 when he established the Erie Grain Company, with himself as President, in an office in the Grain Exchange Annex. He and wife Ruth had no children. He was a member of the Manitoba Club and All Saints Anglican Church. He served on the advisory committee of the Children’s Hospital and was a director on its board for ten years.
He died at his Winnipeg home, 215 Park Boulevard, on 4 December 1952 and was buried in the St. John’s Cathedral Cemetery.
