Grain broker.
Born at Brandon on 4 September 1883, son of Andrew Kelly and Mary Louise Bremner (1857-1935), he was educated there and began working with the Dominion Bank at Brandon. In 1907, he moved to Winnipeg where he worked for Western Canada Flour Mills. In 1914, at the outbreak of the First World War, he enlisted with the Fort Garry Horse in 1914 but, owing to poor eyesight, served as an assistant provost marshal with the rank of Captain in France and Belgium. Returning from military duty, he formed the grain brokerage firm Morrison and Kelly in partnership with Allan Morrison. He retired from business some years before his death. On 17 December 1937, he married Ruth Betty Herdman (?-1965) at Winnipeg. They had no children. He died at his Winnipeg home, Suite 31 Roslyn Court, on 8 February 1941 and was buried in the St. John's Cathedral Cemetery.
