Memorable Manitobans: Horace Victor Hudson (1880-1943)Lawyer. Born at Portage la Prairie on 28 July 1880, son of Albert Hudson and Elizabeth Blellock, brother of Albert Blellock Hudson, he articled in law to Edward Anderson and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1903. He practiced at Portage for over a year then moved to Winnipeg in 1906. He was made a King’s Counsel in 1925. He served as a bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba, a Director of the Manitoba Chamber of Mines, and a member of the Winnipeg Board of Trade.
