Memorable Manitobans: Murray Gibson Hannah (1925-2017)Farmer, municipal official. Born on the family farm in the Rural Municipality of Arthur on 4 August 1925, son of Gibson K. Hannah (1888-1966) and Ruby W. Stalker (1893-1971), he attended a local one-room school and Waskada School before going to business school in Winnipeg. He then returned to a grain farm in the vicinity of Waskada where he was a councilor (1965-1969) and Mayor (1969-1986). He served on the board of the Manitoba Centennial Corporation.
