Memorable Manitobans: Nestor Gylywoychuk (1936-2019)Educator. Born on 11 October 1936, son of John Gylywoychuk (1912-1979) and Ann Pelachok (1917-2010), he grew up at Tolstoi and became a school teacher. He worked in rural Manitoba, including service at Bradley School (1956-1957), and was Principal in the Transcona-Springfield School Division at the Central North Upgrading Centre (1970-1975), John W. Gunn School (1975-1982), and Margaret Underhill School (1982-1988). He and his wife Joan married around 1960 and had three children. He died at Winnipeg on 2 August 2019.
