Physician.
Born on a farm in the Belleview district on 18 April 1902, son of John Gonty (1867-1962) and Anne Cote (1878-1917), he practiced medicine at Elie in the early 1940s and was later the Medical Director of the Health Unit at Portage la Prairie. He died at the Misericordia Hospital on 6 September 1970 and was buried in the Virden Cemetery.
