Community activist.
Born in Winnipeg in 1930 to Eva Rebecca “Beck” Ginsberg (c1897-1985) and Henry Albert Morton, she attended Grosvenor School, Robert H. Smith School, Rupertsland Ladies College, and United College. After graduating, she moved to Toronto, Ontario to work as a nursery school teacher at Dr. Blatz's School for Children.
On 27 March 1954, she married dentist Percy Goldberg (1921-2019) at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue and they subsequently had four children. In 1991, she was the originator of CancerCare Manitoba Foundation’s Guardian Angel Benefit for Women’s Cancer. She also served on multiple boards, such as the boards of the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, St. Boniface Hospital, and Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. She was an avid sports fan; she loved playing golf and tennis.
She died at her home in Winnipeg on 28 February 2016.
