Memorable Manitobans: William “Bill” Burdeniuk (1932-2010)Educator. Born at Sclater on 4 November 1932, son of Pearl and Peter Burdeniuk, for two years he taught in rural schools on a temporary permit then attended Normal School, subsequently receiving BA and BEd degrees from the University of Manitoba. He served as Principal of Kirkfield Park School (1966-1967), Robert Browning School (1969-1973), Buchanan School (1973-1979), Heritage School (1981-1988), and Stevenson-Britannia School (1988-1989). After retirement in 1991, he worked as a faculty advisor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Manitoba. He died at Winnipeg on 10 November 2010.
