This school on Dominion Street in Winnipeg was designed by architects William Anderson Martin and Ewart Fitz Munn using the same basic configuration as River Heights School, and built between 1947 and 1948 at a cost of about $330,000. It opened for classes on 1 February 1949 and was opened officially by School Board Chair George Peterkin MacLeod on 19 May 1949.
