Located on Dominion Street in Rivers, in the Municipality of Riverdale, this secondary school building was built for the Rolling River School Division to replace a high school that operated as part of Rivers School No. 1484 from 1957 to 1961 and included a shared Principal (1957-1959). This school was opened officially on 31 August 1961.
In 1967, a monument and plaque in front of the school were installed to commemorate the centenary of Canadian Confederation.
