Memorable Manitobans: John Harold Wiltse (1885-1958)Real estate developer. Born at Tuckersmith, Ontario on 7 November 1885, son of Harrison Wiltse (1956-1927) and Anne Peacock (1854-1919), he came to Winnipeg in the early 20th century and was proprietor of the Wiltse Investment Company that, among other transactions, constructed apartment blocks in the city. On 18 February 1911, he married Frankie Bernice Lent (1887-1973) at London, Ontario and they subsequently had two children: Frederick Harrison Wiltse (1913-1986) and Doris Annie Wiltse (1920-2004). He died at Clinton, Ontario on 6 February 1958 and was buried there. Some of his construction works in Manitoba included:
