Horticulturalist.
Born at Walton, Thropshire, England on 9 February 1891, he came to Canada in 1913 and worked as a horticulturalist with the Botany Department at the Manitoba Agricultural College. On 22 March 1916, he married Irish immigrant Elizabeth “Bertie” Clements (1892-1987) at Winnipeg and they had a son, George Clement Wedge (1928-1954). The family lived at 2409 Pembina Highway. He served as a councillor for the Rural Municipality of Fort Garry (1933-1940) and was a school trustee for 17 years. He died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 6 March 1951 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery.
