Memorable Manitobans: Joseph John Rebizant (1936-2017)

Educator.

Born at Selkirk on 13 March 1936, son of George Rebizant and Kathleen Gutowski, he began teaching on permit at Willingdon School near Kilkenny (1954-1955), later earning BSc, BEd, and MEd degrees from the University of Manitoba. He taught at several schools in the River East School Division before moving to Teulon where he taught mathematics at Teulon Collegiate and serving as Principal until retirement in 1993. He died near his home at Malonton on 25 June 2017.
