Memorable Manitobans: Peigi “Faye” Morgan-Hayes (1928-2005)

Fundraiser, community activist.

Born at Westminster, BC in 1928, the eldest daughter of Philip and Dorothy Morgan, she worked as a marketer and fundraiser. She was recognized nationally for her work with the disabled community and received many awards including the City of Winnipeg Outstanding Volunteer (1984), the Manitoba Sports Federation Outstanding Volunteer of the Year (1985), the YMCA-YWCA Woman of the Year (1987), Order of Canada (1989), Order of the Buffalo Hunt (1991), and the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame (1999). She died at Winnipeg on 28 October 2005.
