Memorable Manitobans: Robert Milne (1881-1953)Farmer, MP (1922-1925), MP (1926-1930). Born at Mekiwin on 19 August 1881, son of James Milne and Flora McIntyre, he attended the Manitoba Agricultural College then became a farmer at Mekiwin. On 19 July 1916, he married Marion Kathleen Rutherford (?-?). He was elected to the House of Commons for Neepawa in 1921, defeated in 1925, re-elected in 1926, defeated in 1930. He served on the Board of Governors for the University of Manitoba and on the Advisory Board of the Manitoba Agricultural College. He died at Neepawa on 1 July 1953.
