Memorable Manitobans: Dmytro “Metro” Michalchuk (1931-2017)


Born at Insinger, Saskatchewan on 15 November 1931, he moved to the Winnipeg area as a young adult. He served as the Principal at Donald School (1954-1955), Red River School (1955-1965), and Governor Semple School (1965-1977). He died at Winnipeg on 17 February 2017 and was buried in the Glen Eden Memorial Garden.
