Wholesale grocer.
Born in Ontario on 22 October 1879, one of eight children of Philip Augustus Marrin (1847-1917) and Amelia Jobin (1845-1931), brother of Alfred Osmond Marrin, his family came to Winnipeg in 1882. He was educated at St. Mary’s School and the Winnipeg Collegiate. He worked in the wholesale grocery business with the firm of Jobin-Marrin Limited, later known as Marrin Brothers Limited. He and wife Mabel Mary Lefebvre (1888-1945) had six children: Bernard Lefebvre Marrin (1918-?), Elizabeth Anne “Betty” Marrin (1920-?, wife of ? Allen), Jerome James Marrin (1924-1962), Mildred Marrin, Fred Marrin, and Louis Marrin. He died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 29 January 1975 and was buried in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
