Born at Minnedosa on 5 April 1922, son of Roy Scott Londry (1886-1968) and Lizzie Smith (), he grew up on the family farm and was educated at a local one-room school and the Minnedosa High School. In 1941, he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a flight instructor at the No. 12 Service Flying Training School in Brandon.
On 3 July 1946, he married Winona “Nonie” Horner (1922-2004). They had one son. He operated a cattle farm near Rapid City. He was active in cattle breeding associations and judged at cattle shows locally, nationally, and internationally. In 2002, he was inducted into the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame.
He was active in community organizations including the Royal Canadian Legion, 4-H, and coaching youth sports. In 2002, he was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal.
He was passionate about the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum in Brandon. He was a founding member and the president of the board for many years. He was the driving force behind the funding and creation of the RCAF Second World War Memorial Wall, which was unveiled in 2014.
