Educator.
Born at Hepburn, Saskatchewan on 18 October 1924, son of Jacob P. Huebner (1892-1973) and Katharina Koop (1894-1969), he attended teacher training and graduated from the University of Manitoba with BA (1958) and BEd (1959) degrees. He taught at Solsgirth School (1950-1952, Principal), Elm Creek School (1952-1953), and Whitemouth School (1953-1954, Principal; 1954-1955, Vice-Principal) prior to joining the teaching staff of the Winnipeg School Division, working at Victoria-Albert School (1955-1959) and Gordon Bell High School (1960-1968).
On 19 December 1953, he married Helen Loewen Eidse (1928-2016) at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Winnipeg. He had four children, with the family taking up residence at 2520 Henderson Highway in East St. Paul. He was a founding member of the Brooklands Community Church, Chair of the Washington Christian Centre (425 Washington Avenue), and served on the Board of Directors for Amway (three years).
He died on 6 March 1979, having been struck by a motor vehicle when crossing the street in front of his residence, with burial in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
