Memorable Manitobans: Lemuel Harris (1907-1996)

MLA (1959-1962), MLA (1963-1966), MLA (1966-1969).

Born in Wales on 15 December 1907, he came to Canada at a young age and worked at the Burns meat packing plant in Winnipeg until his retirement. Elected to the Manitoba Legislature in 1959, he was re-elected in the 1962 and 1966 general elections. He died at Winnipeg on 24 July 1996 and was interred in the Brookside Cemetery.
