Memorable Manitobans: William V. “Bill” Domitrack (1908-1978)

Educator.

Born at Tolstoi on 21 December 1908, son of Alex Domitrack and Anasta Antouichuk, he attended Tolstoi School, Emerson High School, and the Central Normal School. He taught at Lord Robert School (Tolstoi) and served as the Principal of Langruth School (1944-1949) and Sidney School (1949-1956) before teaching high school at Elmwood School (1956-1968). He ended his career at MacGregor School, where he lived in retirement. He died unmarried at MacGregor on 28 June 1978 and was buried in the Glen Eden Memorial Garden.
