Memorable Manitobans: Ernest Edmond “Ernie” Brennan (1927-2014)

Educator.

Born at Balmoral in 1927, he graduated from Manitoba Teachers College and taught at Hardy School (?-?) and Eden School (1948-1950), and was Principal of Pierson School (1950-1951) and Green Ridge School (1951-1953). Around 1957, he married teacher Inez Lenore Hemmelgarn (?-1997) and they had three children. He next worked for Parks Canada at Riding Mountain National Park and Waterton Lakes National Parks in Alberta. In retirement, he moved to Pincher Creek. He died in Alberta around February 2014.
