Memorable Manitobans: John Cunningham Anderson (1862-1929)

Educator.

Born on 6 June 1862, he served as the Principal of MacGregor School (1913-1915), Carberry School (1915-1925), and Manitou School (1925-1929). In 1929, he was appointed Principal of Westbourne School but died soon after starting work. He died at the Winnipeg General Hospital on 17 September 1929 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, Helen Jane Milne (?-1934).
