Historic Sites of Manitoba: Thornhill War Memorial (Thornhill, RM of Stanley)

A monument in Thornhill in the Rural Municipality of Stanley was dedicated on 15 July 1979 in commemoration of local soldiers who served in the First World War and the Second World War, and the names of killed during service. It also commemorates the Thornhill Community Club (1919), Memorial Curling Club (1948-1975), Wellington School No. 59 (1887-1968), Holy Trinity Anglican Church (1895-1945), Knox Presbyterian Church (1891-1918), Thornhill Methodist Church (1891-1926), and Thornhill United Church (1926-1978).
