Historic Sites of Manitoba: North Ward School Monument / La Verendrye School (500 Seventh Street NW, Portage la Prairie)

This school on Seventh Street NW in Portage la Prairie was designed by the Winnipeg architectural firm of Smith Carter Searle and Associates and constructed between 1961 and 1962. An annex was constructed in mid-1972.

A brick monument at La Verendrye School in Portage la Prairie supports the bell from the former North Ward School nearby.
