The Kronsthal Consolidated School District was established in April 1958 following the consolidation of the Kronsthal School District No. 2133 with the Exeter School District No. 1994 and Aesop School No. 2132. A new school was built at SW17-1-2 West of the Prime Meridian within the community of Kronsthal in what is now the Municipality of Rhineland. The school operated at least into the 1990s as part of the Rhineland School Division.
Once decommissioned as a school, the classroom section of the structure was demolished and the former auditorium was converted into offices for an agricultural business. What remained of the building was demolished between 2020 and 2023.
