Historic Sites of Manitoba: Ashern School No. 1880 (Ashern, Municipality of West Interlake)

The Ashern School District was established originally as number 1556 in February 1911 but was reformed as number 1880 in April 1917, when number 1556 was reused for the Beatty School District. Ashern became part of the Lakeshore School Division in 1967. A new school building was constructed in 1953, later replaced with the present-day Ashern Central School.
