The Beatty School District was organized in April 1917, taking over the number originally used by the Ashern School District. A one-room schoolhouse operated at the northwest corner of NE28-25-7W in what is now the Municipality of West Interlake. In 1967, the district was dissolved and its catchment area became part of the Lakeshore School Division.
