Manitoba Photographers: Harold Kenneth White (1914-1974)

Born at Franklin on 4 July 1914, son of Joseph White (1874-1944) and Carrie Kathleen Swann (c1882-1967), he received a BA degree from United College in 1938. He worked as a professional photographer from 1939 to his death. On 6 May 1942, he married Elizabeth “Betty” Turnbull (?-?) at Winnipeg and they had three daughters and two sons. The family lived at 259 Thurso Street. He died at the Health Sciences Centre on 23 August 1974. A collection of his photographic work is held at the City of Winnipeg Archives.
