Memorable Manitobans: David George Harrington Waters (?-2018)
Television producer.
Son of Annie and James Waters, he received a BSc degree from Iowa State University (Ames) with majors in Journalism, Television and Film. He came to Winnipeg where he was best known as the director/producer of the national CBC television program “Hymn Sing.” He directed children’s musicals at Elim Chapel and also served as an Elder and choir director there. He served on the board of Children's Hunger Fund Canada. He died at Winnipeg on 10 April 2018.
