Memorable Manitobans: Dennis Hugh Wardrop (1932-2013)
Business executive.
Born on 8 December 1932, son of Albert and Mary Ellen Wardrop, he grew up at Whitemouth, Winnipeg, and Pine Falls. In 1954, he received a BSc degree from the University of Manitoba then spent 38 years with Manitoba Telephone System, including terms as its Acting President and Chief Executive Officer. He died at Winnipeg on 6 November 2013.
