Memorable Manitobans: Amos Charles Vaughan (1853-1940)

Surveyor.

Born at Noyan, Quebec on 23 December 1853, fourth child of Amos Hawley Vaughan and Nancy Smith, he and his brothers Josephus Wyatt Vaughan and Lynds Smith Vaughan were active as surveyors in Manitoba in the 1880s. He died at Sioux Lookout, Ontario on 22 March 1940, at the age of 86 years.
