Memorable Manitobans: Jon Thordarson (1950-2010)

Journalist, photographer.

Born on 31 July 1950, he worked as a photographer for the Winnipeg Tribune, Hamilton Spectator, and Winnipeg Sun, and was an editor for the Winnipeg Free Press. He died at Winnipeg, after an eight-year battle with cancer, on 13 March 2010. In October 2013, he was inducted posthumously into the Manitoba Order of the Buffalo Hunt.
