Educator.
Born at Lundar in 1931, he grew up at Ashern, earned BA (1960) and BEd (1964) degrees by attending summer school at the University of Manitoba, and embarked upon a life-long career in education at the age of 19. He taught at Ebb and Flow School (1950-1951) and Siglunes School (1954-1955), and was Principal of Gypsumville School (1955-1956), Eriksdale School (1956-1958, 1960-1961), Eriksdale Collegiate (1961-1967), Rivers Elementary School (1969-1981), and later at Gimli (?-?), and was Superintendent of the Antler River School Division (1967-1969).
In 1964, he married Barbara and they subsequently had four children. He coached hockey, was an active congregant at Rivers United Church, and contributed to many clubs and organizations. In recognition of his community service, he received a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012).
He died on 19 January 2024.
