Memorable Manitobans: Al Sinclair Sparks (1933-2008)
Boxer.
Born on 20 February 1933, he worked and retired at Via Rail. He was the former Light Heavy-Weight Boxing Champion of Canada and remained active in the boxing community as a trainer and mentor. He was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 1996. He died at Winnipeg on 29 September 2008.
