Memorable Manitobans: Alfred Benjamin Scarlett (1883-1946)Born at Wanstead Slip, England on 26 February 1883, he came to Canada before 1910 and settled at Winnipeg where he worked as an architect. He returned to England after the First World War and died at Wallasey on 28 April 1946. Some of his architectural works in Manitoba included:
