Memorable Manitobans: William H. N. “Bill” Paton (1944-2016)

Educator, community activist.

Born in Scotland on 31 May 1944, he received BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees. He came to Brandon in 1974 where he taught at Brandon University for 40 years, retiring in 2014. He also offered free horticultural information to the general public, and was a staunch advocate for open practices at the institution. He died at Brandon on 13 June 2016.
