Memorable Manitobans: James Irving Moffatt (1919-1991)

Manager.

Raised in the Carroll district of Manitoba, he was a director of the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair for many years before serving as its president from 1957 to 60. He was director of the Provincial Exhibition, 1970-71. From 1965 he managed the Brandon assembly yard of the Manitoba Hog Commission, and pioneered in barbequing boneless smoked loins.

He is a member of the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame.
